After searching for 20 hours of in-game time, I finally find the man whos been putting out wanted posters of me and has been kidnapping people from all over Khorinis. It turns out to be Dexter, the sly merchants from the Old Camp in the original Gothic (where he asked you to retrieve the recipe from Cor Kalom). Even more stunning is that he appears to be working for Raven, the Ore Baron who worked for Gomez in the Old Camp as well. Quite a reunion. Although I could have sworn I killed them both in the previous game. Oh well....
