Referring back to my last video, I pull a very similar inside run with Madden 09. Despite similarities between personnel and defensive play selection, the result is far different. Can game play issues this bad be fixed in Madden 2010? That remains to be seen, but they defiantly make this game far from a simulation and anything but realistic....
Set aside gameplay, which game just looks like it respects physics, players weights and positions more. Which game has less motion shifting to get players into position to carry out animations? If EA has the worlds largest motion capture studio, how can 2k create a game (without subcontracting EA) with so much smoother player interactions. These are my all time greatest plays throughout my history of playing 2K8. You will see different plays like runs, passes, kicks, kick returns, kickoff, interceptions, and some extra stuff like injuries and etc....
The big three all get represented in this example. The ratings mean nothing, procedural awareness is non existent and the game lacks animations which leads to long and unrealistic transitions. The bottom line is simple, for those reasons, Madden 2010 cant replicate some of the most basic football plays. Yet EA feels comfortable expanding its programing with Pro Tack and other animation based additions....
